The first fully 2D animated Looney Tunes movie, The Day the Earth Blew Up, premiered on March 14 in the U.S., grossing $6.7M domestically and $8.9M worldwide to date. It's not bad news indeed, considering the movie had little marketing. Warner Bros. scrapped the release of The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie for tax write-offs, choosing not to distribute it on HBO Max or Cartoon Network. After premiering at the Annecy Festival in June 2024, Ketchup Entertainment, a smaller distributor, acquired the U.S. rights in August 2024. Thanks to word of mouth and the hype, the movie has gained traction and drawn moviegoers to theaters. The movie, starring Daffy Duck and Porky Pig—both voiced by Eric Bauza—premiered in some European countries before hitting theaters in the U.S. this month. Check out below some release dates around the world. If your country isn’t on the list, it probably means there’s no confirmed release date yet.
